About BHUMII Trust

BHUMII [Base for Human Upliftment Movement and Ideal Institute] was established in the year 1995. It is a Non-Profitable, Non-Religious, Non-Political, Charitable and Grass root Organization, Registered as per the Trust act of Govt. of Tamilnadu, India.

VISION

    

BHUMII dreams a Society, Without Hunger and Poverty and have the Right to Live without any Discrimination, by any means and attain Empowerment through Sustainable Holistic Development.

MISSION

                  

 Identifying the Target Group’s, needs and Priorities pertaining to Livelihood, Health, Education and Environment. Strengthening the Capacity of the Local community, to work for them to attain Empowerment.

TOP-DOWN APPROACH

Bhumii is also one of the known organizations providing Training on “Participatory Approach” in Tamilnadu. Bhumii has a strong faith on Participatory Approach. Almost all the projects are implemented with the People’s Participation. Bhumii will act as a Facilitating Agency.

Bhumii is a Public Charitable Trust registered on 25.08.1995 and its Registration Number is 850 / 4

Tax Exemption

Bhumii Trust has been registered as a Public Charitable Trust under u/s 12 AA of the Income Tax Act 1961.Bhumii is also exempted under u/s 80G of the Income Tax, 1961.

FCRA - Foreign Contribution Regulation Act

Bhumii also received its FCRA number from the Home Ministry of Govt. of India, in the year 2002, as per the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act 1976. But as on date, we have not received any Foreign Contributions. Bhumii’s FCRA Registration Number is 075900870.

GEOGRAPHICAL TARGET AREA

Bhumii’s head office is at Thekkupattu  10 Km away from the leather city Vaniambadi in Vellore District. Bhumii has its Project offices in two other Districts namely Thiruvallur & Thiruvannmalai the Northern Districts of Tamilnadu. Its registration office is located in Guduvancherry Kanchipuram District.
